3 Things I Learned From Our Church This Sunday

1. It’s good for the congregation to hear someone else speak. I asked my brother-in-law to share some of his story with our crowd today, and we were truly blessed. I needed to hear what he had to say. The church needed to hear what he had to say. And it was awesome to hear it from someone else for a change. Don’t be afraid to mix it up a little, take your hands off the wheel, and let God do His thing (I’m talking to myself here!).

2. We all have a story to tell. And I love stories. Therefore, I can’t wait to hear everyone’s story! I got to listen to some stories today about what Jesus has accomplished in the lives of some of our folks. I am so blessed to be a part of this body of believers. I pray that God will continue to give us a boldness and a passion to tell our stories. The world needs to hear these words of hope.

3. The weather Sunday was crappy. Cold, rainy, occasional sleet. And yet the church was alive, and the people were excited and in dialogue with each other and with God. I’m thankful I serve a church of godly, faithful people. Ain’t no rain gonna hold us down!!
